The Difficult Challenge

On Tuesday room 8, 12 and 13 split up into the groups that we were in for the chickens and we were split up into groups of 5.When we were put into the groups of 5 we all had to work together to make a tool. We had to try to make the magnet attract to the safety pin to pull off the piece of paper which Miss B made it into a piece of fruit.Nobody actually managed to get the fruit. My group made a very strange tool. The things we had to make the tool out of were Popsicle sticks,Bluetac, Sellotape , a 2 metre piece of string , straws , newspaper and a magnet. We all had to work together as a team to make the tool.It took awhile to design our tool.

Feeding the chooks

Every three weeks four room 8 students go out in the morning to feed the  chickens. We only have four chickens. In terms 1 and 2 it was only two people that went to feed the chickens. we get to choose who we want to feed the chickens with. Hannah chose me to feed the chickens with her. But now we have more chickens. We couldn't keep all of the new chickens because some of them were males. So now we only have four chickens left. Mr Rush and Mr Mcaven found two chickens wondering around in the school grounds so they put them into the chicken coop. Mr Mcaven and Mr rush are still trying to find the owners of the chickens. Miss B decided to have four people go out to feed the chickens because it was taking us too long when there was only two of us out there. I am in a group with Teri, Devon, Liam and of course there is Me. I think that it is  a lot easier having the four of us out there and it is a lot faster.

Kelly sports

Kelly Sports

During term two room eight has had three awesome weeks of Kelly sports.

I had an awesome time I thought that it was really fun.My favourite game was the tag game with the bean bags. We learnt all sorts of  games. We played catching games with tennis balls and bean bags. I think it is easier catching a tennis ball instead of  a bean bag because it is round and also because it is a good shape to catch when you cup your hands.
